The National Certificate in Early Childhood Education and Care (Level 3) is an introduction to the education and care of young children. It provides a foundation for employment and further studies in this area.
You will gain placement experience in settings such as Childcare facilities, home based care. This practical experience also takes into account a range of child-related home management tasks and students are visited by a tutor during their practical experience modules.
This course can be a stepping stone to the Level 5 National Certificate and will enable students to grow in confidence and knowledge. At the completion of this course students may apply for entry into the Level 5 National Certificate thus enabling them to continue towards the goal of becoming a qualified early childhood teacher.

Provisional Entry may be granted to applicants who do not meet the criteria above, but present evidence of ability to succeed and are able to show they are well prepared to study the programme.
**International students are required to obtain a police certificate from their country of origin.
